THE wait is over for families who have been eagerly anticipating the new playground at Castle Hill RSL.

The RSL’s state-of-the-art playground for toddlers to 12-year-olds was unveiled on Monday. The new equipment features all- weather shelters and special coloured lighting effects for evening play.

Located next to the Courtyard Restaurant, the 6.1m playground was installed by Rhinoplay Australia, a company specialising in commercial playgrounds and products.

“Rhinoplay was very pleased to partner with the Castle Hill RSL to deliver an awesome new play facility for local families to enjoy,” a spokesman said. “It is wonderful to see the Castle Hill RSL giving back to the local community with these new facilities and also the donated play structure that was provided for a local woman’s shelter.

“I am sure both newly created play areas will provide many smiles and happy memories to children and parents for many years to come.”

The playground includes three tunnels, four slides, a slippery ramp, two maze panels, a tri-climber, a dedicated toddler area, plus nearby parenting rooms.

Castle Hill RSL Group president Warren Glenny said the club was committed to “offering the highest level… for families in the Hills and beyond”.

“Our new playground allows family friendly dining in a fun and safe environment,” he said.

With the playground now complete, the RSL will bring back its weekly Kids Day from today at 11am. Kids can enjoy face-painting, a cartoonist, balloons and prizes.

The first instalment will be a superhero theme, followed by fairytales on August 9, and pirates and mermaids on August 16. Details:
